Congregation Beth Shalom welcomes all visitors and does not have a formal dress code. However, modesty and humility are valued in Judaism, and so we encourage conservative dress for services.
Men can wear a suit or just slacks and a short or long sleeve shirt (or sweater, depending on the weather). Kippot (head coverings) are optional and are provided in the foyer. Tallit (prayer shawls) are also optional and are likewise provided in the foyer.
Women can wear a dress or dressy slacks and a blouse. We ask that women dress somewhat modestly, that is, not with very short skirts, low tops, or exposed mid sections. Mitpachat (scarves) are optional and are provided in the foyer.
