Statement of Faith
We believe the Old and New Testament (Bible) to be the divinely inspired Word of God; it is our source and final authority (II Timothy 3:16; I Peter 1:23-24; Hebrews 4:12).
We believe the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob to be the only living and true God. He is an eternal tri-unity of three co-equal and divine personalities: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of heaven and earth. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Genesis 1:1; Matthew 3:16-17).
We believe Yeshua Ha Meshiach (Jesus the Messiah) to be the only begotten Son of God who became God incarnate. He was both fully God and fully man, concieved by the Holy Spirit and born of the Jewish virgin Miriam. (I John 4:9; Matthew 1:20-23; Luke 1:27-32).
We believe Yeshua, by virtue of His miraculous birth and sinless life, voluntarily gave Himself as the perfect atoning sacrifice for the sins of Israel and all mankind and by His sacrificial death made it possible for all to be reconciled to God. (Romans 5:8; Galatians 1:4; Hebrews 9:26).
We believe after His death on the crucifixion stake, the Lord yeshua on the third day rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of the Father, as our Intercessor and Advocate, the only mediator between God and man. (II Corinthians 5:15; Matthew 28; Mark 16; Luke 24).
We believe the Lord Yeshua will soon descend from heaven to gather the true believers, those who have accepted Yeshua as the Messiah, unto Himself. (I Thessalonians 4; Revelation 20:6).
We believe all men are sinners by nature and in need of salvation, which can only be accomplished by confession in the Messiah, by God’s grace and through His atoning blood, death and resurrection. (Romans 3:23-25; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9; I Peter 1:18-19).
We believe that every follower of Yeshua should seek the baptism (infilling) of the Holy Spirit as a definite and distinct experience, that they might be endued with power for the Messiah’s service. (Acts 1:4-5 & 8; Acts 2:1-18 & 38-39). However, this is not a prerequisite for salvation.
We believe in a literal heaven and hell. (Revelation 21:1-2; Psalm 9:17; Matthew 10:28).
We believe in the following observances:
Water Baptism (Romans 6:3-4; Matthew 28:19).
Communion (Luke 22:19; I Corinthians 11:26).
Dedication of Children (I Samuel 1:26-28; Mark 10:15-16).
Matrimony (Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:31).
Anointing with Oil (Exodus 30:25; James 5:14).
Laying on of Hands (Acts 6:6; Hebrews 6:1-2).
We believe that the Sabbath (Shabbat) begins at sundown on the sixth day (Friday) and ends at sundown on the seventh day (Saturday). We believe God has commanded us to rest on the Sabbath and keep it holy. (Genesis 2:2-3; Exodus 16:22-36; Exodus 23:10-13; Exodus 31:12-18; Exodus 25:1-19; Leviticus 23:3 & 32).
